How to Read a Food Label HTML5

Our body needs energy in order to function. It finds this energy in the food that we eat.  We all have different needs depending on our sex, our age, and our level of physical activity.  Knowledge of the foods we eat is essential for our health.  There are no good or bad foods. It is up to us to create balanced meals that are adapted to our needs.

This animation is a tool that helps to read and interpret a food label.  The foods presented all belong to a different level of the alimentary pyramid.  The point here is to well understand  the major classes of food and their nutritional contents.

Food labels indicate the amounts of nutrients contained in a portion of the food in question, and what  part it provides of the daily nutritional requirements recommended by nutritionists  (calculated on the basis of 2000 kcal for an adult).

Select a food.

Click on the areas of the label to display information.
